I would love some input before I buy these tonight. Tomorrow I am receiving a Pentium 4 Dual core processor for free. I'm not sure the exact model, but I'm pretty sure it's LGA775. In any case, I would be replacing my AMD 3200+ Venice (it's sad, I know) and my piece of shit DFI nForce4 Ultra-D motherboard. Keep in mind that I am on a budget, but still want to have an option to upgrade to a Core 2 Duo/Quad later along the lines.

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813128059)
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820231098)

Are these a good buy together? I would love hear what you all think!

Yeah, I've heard it's pretty solid. Not the best of the best, but good enough for me. The price is what really got me, I mean I'm spending $140 on both of these. In my book, that's pretty good.

By the way, "HomerJay?" I want bacon back. :(
