Dude I fucking biked to the bank from my work in the rain in 40 degree weather it pissed me off so bad

What's worse is it was dark at FIVE. It looked like it was ten.

So I go to the bank and find out I'm negative $70 and I can't pay my room mate my side of the rent for this month (Good thing he's such a sweet guy and he understands) but fuck dude

Then I had to bike from the bank to my house which is like a mile and a half which is GAY, considering that the bank is the opposite direction from my work than my house.

How fucking hard is it to put a cart back properly? There are 3 types of main carts, Big grocery, Small Grocery, and Child carts. They all have their own damn place in the Foyer and yet no one seems to be competent enough to come to the easily grasped premise that you can't just shove the cart and have it end up in the right place, you can't just leave it sit there, and BIG GROCERY DON'T FIT INTO SMALL GROCERY WHAT THE FUCK.

Had my girlfriend over on the weekend, we went out and got Caramel Moccas, egg and bacon mc Muffins and giant chocolate donuts for breakfast, went down the road to town hall, voted for the Labour Party in our national election, rented some videos, spent all day laying on the couch watching them, went down town around dusk and got groceries; I bought cream, onions, potatoes, Parmesan cheese, 1kg of bacon rashes and brought it all home, spent 1 hour chopping and peeling up all the potatoes, onions, garlic and bacon with my girlfriend, cooked it in a wok with some rosemary, placed it in a dish with rows of potato, then covered the whole lot in 3 different kinds of cheese, sat and waited, removed my Potato Bake from the oven 45 minutes later, sat down in front of the tv, ate it, got more, got some cokes out of the fridge, drank them, watched tv to see Labour win the election, flirted around, then had a shower together, went back to my room in towels, didn't get dressed and went to be- owait, we're talking about rants here :downs:

Have you ever tried to read through the blender tutorials? It's pretty damn powerful if you spend the time to learn to use it. Then there's the commercial $1000+ version of Maya - it's available for Linux.

It's $1.79 for petrol per litre over here, or $1.39 USD per litre. There's ~3.79 Litres in a gallon, so 1.39x3.79= $5.27 per gallon for petrol over here. What the hell, yeah good job you have friends and a social life; now would you be so kind as to fucking move it somewhere where there are not 50 students trying to pour through? Some people would like to get to class so they can, you know, LEARN.

Then there are those people that take it to the next level. These are the people who still talk with their friends in the hallway but are moving. Now you would think if they are moving it’s no big deal, I mean they keep the flow going. No, it is actually more of an annoyance because these people seem to like moving at the slowest speed possible. Its the same thing as the group of people standing in one spot talking but evolved into a fucking moving roadblock that you CAN’T get around. As a complete change of topic back to the origin, I want to rant against the lazy homeless people. I know there are homeless who truly are in a near-inescapable situation, who try very hard to get out. I don't mind them, in fact, I respect them. But I get seriously pissed off (and ranty) by the people who sit on a bench with a sign 7 days a week, asking for money, and never try to change. I read an article about a guy in San Luis (town near me) who offered a job to a beggar outside his shop. He was refused because the man didn't want to give up his spot. You can make 5 dollars an hour in San Luis begging, thats two thirds of the California minimum wage (7.50 an hour). I hate these people who are so lazy they won't get off their own asses to help themselves while sitting there saying "I'm homeless, jobless, and lazy by choice, give me money!". I restate, if a person needs a week of handouts to clean up, get an interview, and start working, then thats just fine. But the people who just use us for change... grrr..... anyways, thats my rant for this thread.

Music should come naturally. Not when someone says, "ok now we make song k and we have to make our voice sound totally different to our natural singing voice, to have a sound, we have to make our instruments sound like this, and we have to play this chord progression that all these guys play and we HAVE to have a solo otherwise it's not considered musical."

People are way too absorbed in nit picky bullshit and don't just fucking listen to the music. Music these days (and in previous days) has had to be so chocked up full of guitar lick that it seems to forget what the music was about in the first place.

It's like asshole guitarists HAVING to put solos in songs. "It's not music without a solo". It pisses me the fuck off. I'll be listening to an awesome melody and then captain-dipshit-rockstar-hog-the-limelight fuckhead jumps out with some overused annoying guitar whine dribble that I fast forward through because it's a stupid overused recipe for music. Not saying all solos are completely bad, I mean, a solo with an awesome bassline and drum beat accentuating each others force is a solid sound.

Too many musicians focus on making 1 layer technical, while the rest of the song seems to be boring and stale. Some guitar riff with a 4/4 drum beat in the background, a tonic note baseline and some annoying gargle yell over the top, that follows the same melody as either the bass or the guitars. What makes music really mind altering and soal shaking shit is layering. Not just shitting up 1 layer. I mean making about 6 or 7 layers all have varying melodies that not only accompany each other, but are different enough to focus on individually.

I guess thats why I love Tool, and hate Iron Maiden.

Tool, I get these technical melodic drums, with this varying and dissonant, yet harmonic vocal melody, accompanied by another, totally different rhythm guitar melody and then another, yet again different melodic layer of the lead guitar.

Iron Maiden, I hear 1 Guitarist, going off his fucking nut the entire song, a really high pitched squeel from the singer, and the other guitars copying each others melody, with the drums being about as simple as the little spelling game with the monkey playing the drums. Don't even get me started on the bassline. Totally unfunky, and pretty much just another rhythm guitar. The layers just aren't their own element. They all seem to be supporting and mimicking that shitty singer and the lead guitarist/s.

See, this is where I look like a total hypocrit. Truth is, This guy is playing his music to really connect and entertain the people around him. Big rockstar fuckhead bands just play out their solos and let all the little kiddies buy their T shirts and help fuel their Hummer limos.

Contrary to what you might gather from my wtf thread, I actually agree with Aerowyn, to some extent, anyway. It may just be my mind getting biased, but it really seems to me that right around the time Aggy got banned and I and a few others got all bitchy and p0lar joined the admin team, there's been some decent moderation going on here. I've been seeing more appropriate infractions and actual warnings on threads instead of outright locking, and I view Ross getting banned as a step in the right direction away from the conspiracy of high rep invulnerability (although I do hope Ross returns someday, with a cleaned-up act).

addendum: Oh and in response to the limitless power of the admins mentioned since I started typing this, sure the admins have the right to do whatever the fuck they want to. And we all have the right to get pissed off about it and leave, that's my point.

I hate things that don't work. The fact that I love things that do work, like cars, and Firefox, and Linux, goes the other way too. I fucking hate things that don't work the way they're supposed to, even though huge expensive corporations are responsible for them. Internet Explorer- come on for god's sake, MS is one of the most valuable companies on earth, you'd think they could at least produce a product that complies with standards. But what really got to me lately is XBox Live. I can't change my billing information because there's a fucking bug in their fucking billing system. I do not want a service that has my credit card information and automatically bills people to have a bug in its billing system! FUCK that, man.

Also, what's with Indian tech support? I have nothing against Indians, but the fact that when I called tech support yesterday and had to continuously rephrase myself because the person I was speaking to did not understand the English words I was speaking really pisses me off. And wtf is with these fake names? *thick Indian accent* "Hello, my name is Carl. Let me transfer you to Mark, who has an even thicker accent than me." Oh great, so now the tech support guy is lying to me to make it easier to get the call over with? What else is he lying about to make the call easier to get over with?

But here's the kicker. I spent a total of 2 hours on hold, and spent 30 minutes spelling out my gamertag, address, and e-mail address to this guy so that he could tell me a bunch of shit I already knew, and then get offended when I told him "I know that already, that's my problem- I can't do that!" And then he finishes it off by telling me to go to some website and follow some complicated procedure that takes ten minutes so that he has an excuse to end the call while I fumble about online only to discover that I get EXACTLY THE SAME FUCKING PROBLEM THERE BECAUSE IT IS PART OF THE SAME FUCKING SERVICE. So today I get to spend another two hours on hold.

Anyway, in closing, fuck shit that doesn't work.

I hate it when people post models not for criticism, but rather for simple E-penis growth. I mean, I think that practice is where ALL the ridiculous flamewars of old were rooted, because people never wanted crit, they wanted a pat on the back and a stroke on the E-peen. All this bullshit conspiracy, all these bullshit flamewars, all this long dormant admin activity is firmly rooted in the fact that people were "cool points" greedy.

I always want crit on my models becuase I'm never sure about how they look, reassurance is nice, but REAL criticism that supports REAL improvement is the best thing one can get.

This isn't just models either, its anything people have opinions on, people will steal things just to look cool. On this forum +/-rep was--and still is--currency, and like all money, it seems to bring evil.

People who wanted rep brown-nosed, people who deserved rep got it only on occasion, and people who were angered by the system were shunned by everyone else.

Don't know if anyone saw the ads for Sweeney Todd which is coming out on the 21st. But the soundtrack comes out tomorrow, the 18th. Well, in Britain it's available on itunes TODAY. And I asked my mom to puh-LEEEZE buy it for me and she was all "It costs more to convert the pounds to dollars, blah, blah blah, wait til tomorrow."

I'm pissed off that I can't play the Orange Box on any day except Saturday because of my fucking French grade. When so far this quater has had a total of like 80 points and I missed 20 because I was absent a day. I have never gotten to play Half-life 2 before, and now it will take me 2 weeks to even get to beat just the single player parts of Orange Box. But I am so tempted to play all the cool mods and mess with G-mod, but NO. Damn you french class and your lack of extra credit and its freakign first hour so I have no opportunity to finish work in another class if I were to forget. I have 3 A's 2 B's, and that freaking C which is preventing me from playing ANY games what so ever durign the week, I am fucking bored out of my mind. I am just sick and tired of it, they think I'm addicted to games for playing for playing for 3 hours on a day where theres nothing to do, even though I'm playing like 6 different games. I am not some person who would end up spending 48 hours straight playing a game and then dieing of exhaustion. I already study for my classes each day, I'm doing fine in all my advanced classes, but all because of freaking french I have nothing to do during the week.

You would think when there are problems with a community, the people running it in the best interest of promoting its growth would respond to the modest (at first, anyway) proposals of a few concerned members. Most of them, indeed, probably would. But if we're going to get a bunch of gestapo thread deletion and bannings just for dissenting from the tyrannical rule of a few poor moderators, I don't think I want to be here anymore. A bunch of us decent community members have decided to exodus from h2v.net, and I'd appreciate a permanent IP ban for as long as the place is going to be this way.

Yes, a lot of FriedMetriod's posts were fine and dandy. However, he seemed to come onto the forums on occasion just to go around and start fights/troll (hence the 30 or so warnings he has collected over the time he's been here :I).
