idk if this has been asked before, but this prob realy bugs me:

i feel like just recently the audio aspects of the game have been fouled up. just to name a few examples: if im on blue team on bg and spawn atop of my base, i can hear the sniper of the red guy, who sits right on the other side of the map and is sniping me from behind the rocks on the hillside.
and on snow-grove when im in the middle, i can hear the gunfire at my (or the other teams) base as if they were fighting right next to me.
mb this was a part of halo all along, but like i said, i have the feeling this changed just recently and its annoiny as....its just rly annoying.

I dont have that, I only hear the sniper round as I get hit or when hit hits a rock nearby.
I never heard gunfire from th other base in snowgrove

Sounds fucking up like that in modded maps or custom creations are a result of the sound not being set up for the purpose. Stereo sounds have a knack of being audible from halfway across the map if they are used as impulse sound effects.

Nothing you can do there if you didn't make the map, but if it's something you've done, make sure all impulse sounds (gunfire, footsteps, and generally anything that would come from a dynamic source) are saved as 22khz mono WAVs prior to compilation.
