Anyone go to an Autodesk party tonight? I was at the East Tennessee one hosted by my SIGGRAPH chapter. Not as fancy or ritzy as say Chicago, but there was still some good stuff with free shirts, etc. given out.

Anyone going to enter the Mudbox competition?

I'm thinking about making something with the Drago model if I have enough time after finals.

I got 9 out of 10 as well. I got the diamonds one wrong (won't say whether it's real or fake for spoilers sake)

10/10 first try http://sa.tweek.us/emots/images/emot-colbert.gif

E: 3/4 on the bonus round :saddowns:

Excellent, a superior performance--ten out of ten answers were correct.

If you got a perfect score on the first try then you're a REAL genius. But, if it took a few tries, then we congratulate you on your perseverance for it shows the CG artists are keeping you guessing. Now check out the bonus round -- if you dare! 1st try too :)

boruns round:

You got 1 out of 4 answers correct.

You missed 3. You've come this far so why not try again and go for perfection. See if you can get four correct answers...:<

i was kinda thinking of entering the mudbox competition, but i decided not to, since i'm far from adept with that program. i know the ins and outs, but i'm not at the point where i can just make shit like in Max.
still need to learn the tools more. i might just do it for sheer practice though, dunno yet.

I got 9/10. I got the close-up of the car, or whatever it was, wrong.

Lucky me, I'm not even a modeler! I guess it's just not that hard to notice differences.

just gotta know what to look for.
if you want to spot the REAL thing, look for imperfections.

or things in lighting/reflections that don't work the way you'd expect.

Because it's free and I dont know of many workstation cards working well in Vista from it not loving Open GL too much?

10/10 then 4/4 :D seen the picture of the guy before and the round bar looked too perfect to be real. Water one didn't look right but something told me it was real so I picked real for it.

I really just looked at the backround and the imperfections, like Tweek said.

I got 10/10, then 4/4 too. It's not hard if you look for the "reflections, and blur-ness"

To bad I'm too busy for all the Autodesk-ness going on lately.

Looks like the best prize on the list. A downgrade from vista to xp is really an upgrade to a faster - more reliable product.

I got 10/10 and 4/4 on bonus. Those were really easy... The photos are just some random clipart, and all seem to have way higher compression. I have seen much more realistic CG.
