Bee Juice! (Post yer freaky dreams take two)

So I have TV show style recurring dreams- this type of dream always has an underlying ongoing plot that I'm slowly figuring out, but for the most part I focus on the individual plot of the dream and by the end of the episode things are mostly back to the way they started. I mostly get reruns these days, but some days, like last night, I get a new episode.

And sometimes, like last night, they end with a SHOCKING TWIST AND CLIFFHANGER!

And almost always the dreams are based on very silly premises, and this was especially true last night.


So yeah, I won't get into the nitty gritty details of the dream since it was a pretty long and complicated episode, so let's just sum up the background by saying I resumed the story of the young boy and his mom trying to sort out what happened to their once happy family. There are occasional flashbacks to back when their family was still together, generally centered around the big gnarly tree in their rural backyard. The boy also visits the backyard in the present, and at present the tree is devoid of leaves because it is the end of Autumn, and the entire yard is looking very grim and brown and sad.

ok, so let's cut to the chase and spoil the ending for you since you're not gonna see this episode anyway: at the very end, after much intrigue and mystery chasing, the boy makes a sudden realization: the tree always seemed to have sap leaking out of a crack higher up on it, but now that he's noticed this small detail that he had previously ignored, he discovers that it was never sap in the first place- it was nectar!

And the dream ends and I wake up after the boy cries out his epiphany in a very serious and very awesome cliffhanger one-liner:

BEE JUICE!

Ooh, I just remembered another one I had a few weeks ago.

I had a Vivid dream. ;D

So it was a very vivid dream in the literal sense- I could look down and see my hands and body, I was at my apartment complex, with my cat- everything was perfectly normal. Perfectly normal to the point that most of my dream was just me having a normal day- I worked on homework, read the news on Digg, saw some funny stuff there, worked on my map a bit, ate, cleaned up, all that stuff.

Then at the end of the afternoon just before the sun went down, I took my cat for a walk (at the time he still wasn't used to the area, so it was a normal thing for me to do to make sure he didn't get himself into any trouble). On my way back to my apartment, Jeoffry stopped to play with some bushes, so I hung out near him, and a guy came out of the apartment across the sidewalk from me to walk his cat. I remember thinking "heh, him too? I guess it isn't so odd to walk your cat."

So his cat and Jeoffry started sniffing each other, and while they were otherwise occupied, I made small talk with the guy. It was a very normal conversation. Then when he was about to go, he got a distant look, and said something I couldn't understand, although I could hear the sounds. I said "come again?" and he gestured to the horizon behind me and said "Storms comin' in, looks like we're finally gonna get some rain." And this time I could recognize the sounds and I knew that he had definitely said the same the first time and I just hadn't understood him. So I smiled and nodded, and headed off and finished my day and eventually went to bed. Then I woke up (for real, not dreaming of waking up).

Guess what?

It rained that day. It rained hard. For the first time in weeks.

I told this one to Rob, after I had been talking to him about some shit for Bridge, and he told me to sleep/dream on this particular BSP section.

So, The way I initiate a dream about a place that I'm making is thinking about and visualizing it before I go to sleep. Anyway, I'm trying to think about this and I realize that its just making me restless and I'm not gonna fall asleep. I return to my usual pondering of other subjects.

So anyway, my brain has a compromise and I have a graphic dream in which my girlfriend and I enjoy some sexual relations in said BSP section, (it was a hotel so it's not that unreasonable.) Also, we got killed in the end as I was awoken by that asshole of an alarm which morphed into a grunt's voice.

I found it amusing myself, I laughed so hard about it in the shower I fell on my ass and got a bruise.

Sadly, I haven't had any really good dreams since I posted the first freaky dreams thread. I haven't been sleeping well at all, and haven't gotten the chance to wake up in the morning, go back to sleep and dream, which was the cause of the dreams I posted.

i dont dream very often.

i'm too tired. tbh.
i'm just working so long at work, building kitchens and shit that when i get home i just crash and burn. complete darkness.

but i used to get some tripped out dreams tbh, and i used to enjoy vivid dreams (thats where u take control of it right?) and i'd do all kinds of weird and wonderful things during them.

anyway, it's 11:52 Pm, i'm fuckign tired and it's been a long week.
i'll try and get a vivid dream tonight.

since i have recently discovered lucid dreaming, i can do pretty much whatever i want at least in my dreams. but from time to time i have umm...nonlucid dreams (thats how you call it rite?) and theres a recurring one that really starts to annoy me.

in that dream, i know a nuclear strike is going to happen but luckily me and a bunch of other ppl usually find a neat lil bunker before it happens. the thing is, those bunkers are usually fucked up. one had all those bunkerish gimmiks like hatches old 60 and military stuff in it but it also had big windows in it, an other one, altough it had a decently equipped stable and food storages it had no roof and the last one i dreamed of had a big hall full of ship-containers with really everything in it (building equuppment, mowers, twnikies) but it turns out some creepy folks from outside could crawl inside and steal stuff so the bunker wasnt really sealed off.

most of the time while i have lucid dreams i go on vacation in the mountains or on some tropical place. i also had some really intresting conversations with marx, jesus and moses. lulz?

Since the last thread, I've pretty much mastered lucid dreaming, out of the few times I actually dream, probably about 4/5 are lucid... The other ones are... Well, review my previous comments in the old thread...

The trouble I have with dreaming, is that the moment I relise I'm dreaming, it stops being a dream and reverts to my mind posing "what if" scenarios, where it's not nearly as imersive :(
