View Full Version : Best Fast Food Place

STLRamsFan

I figured I'd start a little debate.

I personally believe Chipotle is by far the best place to eat fast food. Their food has always been fresh and has never produced a burrito that wasn't good. The fact that they serve their burritos as though it's a Subway is a nice way to serve burritos. Plus having free burritos on Halloween is awesome.

Rams, my Qdoba burrito 1up's your Chipotle burrito, due to the fact that it has awesomesauces - like 3-cheese queso, or ancho chile barbique, to name two of them. But the chips and rice are better at Chipotle, so you've got two points there.

However, BK or in-n-out is good. Not much of a burger fan though.

Sonic, just because they have a foot long chili cheese dog. Yes, the bun is crummy and falls apart. Yes the dog is rubbery and fake. Yes the chili actually has very little taste of "chili" in it at all. Yes the cheese is processed American cheese crap.
That's what makes a foot-long coney a foot-long coney! <3

Does it have to be a disgusting chain, or are all places that serve fast food choices?

I like local chains like:

Potbelly's-sandwiches
Flukey's-Chicago hot dogs
Portillo's-Chicago hot dogs
Gold Coast Dogs-Chicago hot dogs
Lou Milnati's-Chicago deep-dish pizza
Geordano's-Chicago deep-dish
Red Rocket Red Hots-more hot dogs

Only major Chain:
Dunkin Donuts

Highly regional flavors I see, tbh I don't eat much fast food.

Oh and this one place in Milwaukee with the best burgers ever, Kopps.

I am definitely not anyone's fanboy (except for the Halo series and Halflife 2's MINERVA: Metastasis), and ABSOLUTELY NOT in that fat bastard's following. I chose to shun McDonalds due to their quality (or lack thereof) of service and food, at least in my region. I will simply not eat food that has been prepackaged, thawed in a microwave, sat under a heat lamp for a few hours, and then reheated in the same uncleaned microwave. I like my food fresh and prepared in front of me. Whenever I walk into Qdoba, Chipotle, or even a roadside diner, I can see the cooks in the back preparing the ingredients/sauces and cooking/grilling the meat. I just don't accept that over-processed and under-nourishing 'food' from McDonalds and the like.

I fucking hate subway.

I've eaten there once. and I hope never to again.
The chicken was tasteless and dry, the bread wasn't much better and the mayo had the appearence and consistency of sloppy bird shit (it had a slight tang and that was about all the flavour of the whole sub).

It depends on how I feel.

I like Burger King's burgers; the flame-broiled burgers have a sweet taste to me. The fries are also always crispy.
Wendy's chicken nuggets and frosty dairy desserts are just plain awesome.
Taco Bell I go to soley for their quesadillas. I make better tacos at home with one of those Old El Paso taco kits.
Subway is good for any time I feel like a meatball sub; the other pizzerias/delis around here make meatball subs way too greasy.

Also, if I feel like some full-on Mexican food, I go to Roybertito's (http://youtube.com/watch?v=wA8C6m5h3dE).

I'm with p0lar bear on this one - it depends on what i'm like at the time. I'll pretty much go anywhere, apart from KFC (had uncooked chicken and other funky stuff from there, not too keen on it anymore). Meatball foot longs from subway, Triple Cheeseburgers from Burger King, Nuggets for McD's and Noodles from the Noodle Canteen (In the little chinese cardboard boxes from the movies ^_^)

E: Also Dominoes or Hell's Pizza if i'm keen for pizza. Or Fish and Chips, the cheapest option.
EE: That's pretty much all the fast food outlets in my town, apart from Indian which is super expensive or Chinese which is super greasy.

Quiznos needs to be less expensive.

I can't disagree with that. While I do enjoy their food, I feel their prices could be a little bit less. I personally put Subway ahead of Quiznos, the taste at Subway is a bit more refreshing to be honest. I remember when I would bring 12 inch subways to track meets. Eating a huge warm sandwich after running my event doesn't get any better than that. :)
