Well i woke up today hoping for a happy day, but things decided to take a turn.

I woke up and went downstairs at around 10 and went looking for my family becuase I like my parents and my brother to be there before I go see what I got. I found my brother in bed, but I couldn't find my parents anywhere. I looked for like 10 minutes and found nobody.

The next thing i heard was teh front door opening so I cam back downstairs thinking maybe my parents went to pick something up for breakfast before we go to Grandmas.

I come down and she is fully in tears, holding my cat in two towels.

I've basically been crying since that point.

RIP Sam, I love you little guy.

You try having a cat for your whole life and then watching him fade away to nothing.

Kinda harsh Tweek. Of all days, today would be one of the worst. Sorry to hear about your loss. =(

I actually witnessed one of my cats dying a slow, painful death after disappearing for a week and getting mauled by a opossum or something, then coming back. My regret is that I couldn't put it down; the veterinarian's offices were closed all nearby, and we had no transport to get to an emergency vet that was a few towns over.

I'm getting a bit sad recalling the experience now. Just be glad your cat passed on peacefully without bleeding all over the house and suffering to bend down to get a drink of water. Don't think about it too hard, don't let it get to you, and move on.

Tweek, you really could have worded that better, honestly. While you may be right, and it has to be said, you really, really don't have to be a huge asshole about it.

Flameing rain's cat died too, weird. I myself have lost FOUR cats this year. Worst year ever. I miss them so much.

1 hit by a car.

1 suffered disease and had to be put down.

2 lost and never seen again.

Wow, I'm sad now.

@polar. The same thing has happened to one of my cats, except thankfully he lived. He dissapeared for about a week, then when he came back there was a large chunk of his.....well....anus bitten off. Very nasty. He's fine now, but it was pretty bad.

I know what it's like to lose a cat and it's never a fun thing. I personally don't like to talk about it as she meant a lot to me. She was a childhood cat and it still hurts to this day to how she died. Ever since she died I never let my cats go outside at all. I can't deal with the thought of something bad happening to them.

And I feel bad for you to lose your cat on what should be a happy day. Sorry about your loss man. :(

Cats are not objects and are a life. They can not be replaced like you would do with lets say a computer. Why you would think like that is beyond me...

if you really wanted to put him down, an axe would have worked well. at any rate, that's a shit way to go, let alone watch something you love go :(

Yeah, through seeing my family I've been doing a lot better, and lots of friends.

I hope to get a new cat soon, as the other cat we had (spunky, she had three legs) ran away in March when I stayed at a friends house and my parents went to Europe with my Grandma who has cancer.

Shit sucks on christmas >_>. Never seems to go well. Just last year my neighbor lost her husband on christmas. She knew he was going to pass soon from age and disease, but still.

I had to put down this one cat.

Anyways, the dogs tore its lower stomach and stuff out and then left it to drag itself around... I solved it with a nice, quick 410 blast, and then buried it. :(

to people i might have offended:

i was on a massive sugar/caffeine rush at the time i posted that.
i drank 8 redbulls in 15 minutes for a bet. (not somethign i recommend anything doing btw)

@ polar, yeah that's what happened to my last cat, only it got run over half by a car.
it was pretty obvious she wouldn't live trough it, so i snapped her neck. ended it fast.

so to those who got offended, my sincere apologies.

Wow, that sucks. Be glad you don't live in my neighborhood, I suspect my neighbor has poisoned our last 5 cats. She doesn't like animals. Our average cat doesn't last more than a year until it doesn't come home or we find it dead somewhere with yellow liquid around its mouth. We've stopped getting cats, and we can't point the finger at anyone without evidence. It fucking sucks.

I've lost two cats before, I just got new ones, they have new names, but close to the same general personality's. One hates me, and one follows me around and try's to ride on my shoulders by climbing up the back of my leg and onto my back... Claws ftl.
