Hi,
I'm new to Halo editing and was wondering if someone could help me.
I'm using 3ds max 7 with TheGhost's JMS Exporter and every time I attach an object to my skybox and try to export the file, the Exporter fails to export and gives me the message: -- Unknow property: "name" in undefined
thx in advance

First, make your skybox model like you have done. Then make a box (that does not penetrates the skybox's border) and name it frame. Link the skybox to the frame, not the other way around! Then export and you should be fine =D.

I've done that, and I can export it, now my problem is i want to attach a base to the level. Once I've that though, I can't export my model anymore...

What? I don't understand your problem.
Attach all objects to the frame.

The error seemed to occur when I attached a base to my skybox... (to create connecting faces)
ive found my problem, apparently exporting will only work once i have detached the faces making up the base from the skybox again
Ah well, it seems I've been able to solve my problem myself
Sorry for the pointless thread and thx for trying to understand my prob...
