Only get both if u have a ps3 already, otherwise stick to the 360 and GoW and soon Halo 3. Resistance isn't worth paying $600-500 for the console and game.

Single player: Gears of War all the way. Resistance is solid and very fun but not as good and suffers from sub-par AI and lack of physics.

Multiplayer: Resistance FTW! Of course, I'm a bit biased because my neighboir doesn't need to pay for the Sony Playstation Network. The only GoW multiplayer I have played is co-op (also offered in resistance) and lame 2-player deathmatch.

I like the Sixaxis PS3 controller better than the X360 controller tbh. I don't like rumble at all, and I always turn it off.

I played Resistance a few days ago with my cousin before he went to boarding school for the first time, and after 30 minutes, I was pwning him like in any other game I pwn him with. It is a gift I was destined to have.:cool:

Ive never played Resistance so I wont vote or say "oMG GOW IS TEH PWNAGE resistance is teh suxx0rz!!!1one1!"

I like Gears of War, it has solid graphics, a good campaign, and well done multiplayer. It may only be 8 players max, but GoW isnt meant to be a huge 50 player MP game.
