I just watched it, I don't think anyone posted a thread about this but then again I can't search less-than 3 letter words such as I or Am.. So don't go all out on me with someones already posted it.

Anywho, I thought the movie wasn't really that scary at all.. It was actually really sad.
my friend alex (lexy, a girl) started crying at the part where the dog died and he had to choke it to death after it turned.

There were actually lots of subliminal message's in the movie, people who watch it should pay attention to that.. I only caught some.
The ones I caught were..
When the gas station prices were around $6.25 when he was filling up the car with gas; resembling a high increase in gas prices.

The entire movie was basically a dedication to Bob Marley, as he tried to 'save' everyone with stopping racism Robert(AKA Will Smith) tried to 'save' everyone from the virus that was spreading.

I'm pretty sure there were some more other then that, please add on because I wasn't really paying attention to the movie.

I also just found out theres an I Am Legend book, I'm gonna give that a good read and see if its close to what the movie made me think.

Discuss.

i believe this is a remake of previous films as well that were based on that book. however, YES! amazing movie. freakin. awesome

this is why:
will smith
mustang gt
german shepard
m4 with an acog
zombie things.

what more do you need. but really i thought it was a great movie. the ending was very lacking and i was disappointed with it however there was closure. but still a great movie.

as soon as he met the chick, the movie kinda went downhill. VERY anti-climatic end. Most of it was good tho.

That was really one of the few recent movies i really enjoyed. ive seen the vincent price version too [from 1964 i think. so yeah running ] and i like how they modernized the whole concept. [garlics and crucifixes just arnt cool anymore and i remember how price just drove around all day ramming his wooden stick into bored/lazy/lethargic vampires. i think the much more subliminal vampire concept is way more fitting.]
i might consider buying the dvd.

meh idk about the bob marley thing. its not really subliminal nor is "the entire movie" a dedication to him (only two songs are featured "three little birds" and "stir it up" save "redemption song" in the credits. ) and smiths speech about Marley wanting to stop racism and him wanting to stop the virus- seems like a pretty generic conclusion to me.

It was one of the best movies i've seen this year. But the ending made me go....NO!

I think killing Sam (the dog) and Robert (Will Smith) where effective but made me scream. It was nice to see it on it's release date in the UK, love seeing films on the huge cinema screen.

I hope they don't make a sequel it's effective by it's self.
I've never read the book, or heard anything about it before, so maybe i went in with less expectations then some, but i would give it a 9.8/10 easily. Because the only thing i didn't like was the ending, which could have been done a little better.

The movie would have been better if it had shown what had happened to the survivors in New York after they initiated military quarintine, not three years later.

Just wondering, did anyone else see
Fred's face move when Robert went up to him thinking he was alive, seconds before he got captured? My friends and I are having arguments, because I swear I saw his face move. Also, another argument we are having is that one of the Dark Seekers did/didn't set the trap for Robert. I think it's pretty obvious he did, I mean, he came out of the building, and he was the same one that saw his "girlfriend" Dark Seeker get captured, so of course he would know how to set the trap.

Weren't the Dark Seekers supposed to be vampires? These guys are like vampire/zombie/greyhound.

...seriously? Incredible. I never thought that would resemble a high increase in gas prices.

The movie was absolutely phenomenal. I know people who keep saying that it wasn't great and they hated it, but the major point that they were trying to get across in the movie was how fucked up of a situation that really is. The movie is disturbing, but what were people expecting? In any case, Will Smith remains to be one of my favorite actors and this movie showcases it perfectly.

6.25$ a gallon? That's cheaper than in every European country.

That's why I live in a near-rural area.:)

Saw it the day it came out, thought it was great except for, of course the ending. It felt like they just wanted to end it fast and easily.
It took me a while to figure out that the vampire/zombie things set the trap for him. It was the same kinda trap he set for them before.

DAMN IT FRED. FRED screwed up EVERYTHING. If fred hadnt of left the store and fucked with will smith, then he wouldn't of been hanging upside down instead of meeting ana at the dock, and he wouldnt of had to kill samantha. He didnt even have to kill samantha, he just didnt know that the cure took some time! And then he wouldn't of had to die and blow up his fucking house because the infected wouldn't of chased ana's car whilst trying to save will from being a dummy.

FUCK YOU FRED.

Oh, i also thought i saw freds head tilt.

Im done.

o rly I liek ur speling skillz

Of course I know that 6.25$ is not the actual gas price right now. I just said that that high price is not uncommon and that even I could make such a prediction and implement that into a movie. :)

K mai grammr sux i no soz plis no hitting mey nkay? :(.

But still, 6.25 $ is still relatively cheap imho.

Anyways, i wonder how the vampires managed not to starve for ~3 years. it would be rather logical if they d feed on the deers or the lions, but as their obviously large in numbers and tenacious predators, those animals would have to be extinct by then.

Well, I was expecting a lot more action than what I got.
The movie was mainly the opposite of action, where it tried to avoid it all.

I still think Will Smith is the best at saving the world, and that it's good that he's building on his acting career.

Did anyone notice the billboard in the background that showed a little Batman/Superman symbol, with the date 05.08.10 or something? Dunno if it's a clue or not :P.

I think it is. Because I recently saw a trailer for a batman movie coming out next year.

The movie to me did not seem like a movie at all. He stays in one general location and there is barely any dialog. It was more like a documentary of someones life from day to day. I just didn't like it.

Good movie, but Fred fucked it up indeed.

Anyways, encoding it for the Zune as we speak :)
