Well before I was running a windows XP and Vista dual boot. Then I decided to reformat my XP install and reinstall XP, but now it just boots into XP without an option to boot into Vista.

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn /usepmtimer

That is my current boot.init. I could try to edit it my self but I don't know what the partition number is on my Vista partition. (Drive H)

Any help = :awesome:

Get your Vista CD and boot on it. It will say something along the lines of repair installation, click that. Click something like repair boot up, or w/e. That should make it use the Vista booter, which allows for older OS's.

FDISK or some other partition manager. Or just guess...or make multiple entries with different partition #, you can't go wrong.

I did what rooster said and now it only boots into Vista.

+ Vista doesn't let you edit the boot.init from the advanced system settings :S
