I've just recently bought it.
It's nice to play it with H2V and stuff...
But I was wondering: is there ANY way that I can use it on games other then: "Games for Windows"?

Anything like Need For Speeds?
Or any program that makes a controller emulate a keyboard + mouse the supports Vista?

The problem is, because I have the *wireless* gamepad, my windows doesn't detect it.
Nor does Xpadder.

Xpadder is teh l33t and emulates the keyboard with the controller, but if it won't detect a wired one, try getting those drivers for it... what were they called? *looks at the other topic on 2nd page* Oh yeah, the XBCD drivers. Go to http://redcl0ud.com/ to dl them. Oh yeah and you can use the free SwitchBlade software if you want to play WoW with the 360 controller, I think.

The wireless USB reciever that lets you use any 360 controller/accessory with Windows. >_>

http://xpadder.com/controllers.html
Shows both of the Xbox 1 controllers on that page. So the answer is yes.

Edit: And at the top it says "Xpadder supports all controllers, even if they do not appear below."

As long as the game supports any form of gamepad, it'll support the Xbox 360 wireless controller. Trust me, I've used the wired X360 USB controller to play my Nintendo 64 emulator, Halo 1 campaign, Need for speed most wanted, Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, etc.

Platformers and racing games will almost always support gamepads - in fact, a gamepad is a better way to play a racing game than a keyboard.

However, if the game doesn't support a gamepad in the first place, forget about using the X360 controller on that game.

Yeah, I use my XBox 360 wired controller for anything in Windows that I want to use a controller. See above post.

Great, just great.
Windows doesn't recognize my controller as a *ahem*, controller, like it would recognize any other USB Joystick.

The same thing that worked then doesn't work now...
