Help a brother out. I recently picked up where I stopped tabbing out the guitar and bass piece's to one of my friend's songs (the band has long since gone and reformed into something entirely different).
I was wanting a 2nd opinion at the accuracy of the tabs (and any input for changes). I had pretty much the entire guitar part down (including the solo) but I never put it down on paper (errr notepad) before I enlisted.
The Song (http://kornnersoftware.com/images/memory_ln/RapeDisease.mp3).
The Tabs (http://kornnersoftware.com/images/memory_ln/Tab.txt).
Note: I just started the bass piece about an hour ago as I only have my bass with me overseas, my guitar is sadly (but safely) back in the states :(

It looks pretty accurate, I can follow most of the guitar through. Sometimes I get lost :-p
I would've though tabbing is extremely hard unless you basically knew each string sound by ear, or is there some other method?

Some people have a fine sense of hearing (so they can "pick" out the notes). I usually just hit a string, then listen to the string they're playing, then basically "subtract" the two to figure it all out. After playing a instrument for a few years its all pretty much second nature to you (as long as you keep it up, its been kind of rough getting back into the grove of things)

It seems very accurate KM. The Intro seems fine to me :D
With Stompbox on 2x
E ------------------------------ |
B ------------------------------ |
G ------------------------------ |
D -----------------4-4-5h-4p--- |
A -3-5h-5-5-3-5h-5----------5- |
E ------5-5------5-------------- |
B ------3-3------3-------------- |
i'd leave that 5 out.
because that 4p = your 4 and that 5.
you just got an extra note in there :P
E ------------------------------
B ------------------------------
G ------------------------------
D ------------------------------
A -3-5h-5-5-3-5h-5-------------
E ------5-5------5---------5----
B ------3-3------3-5-5-7h------
and this part i'd change too
E -------------------------------
B -------------------------------
G -------------------------------
D -------------------------------
A -3-5h-5-5-3-5h-5-------------3
E ------5-5------5-------3-5h----
B ------3-3------3--3-5h---------
There are extra notes in there that i think your missing.
anyway good luck :D

well, the only guitar (well, that works anyway) that I have is a Ibanez K7 and I could never get it to sound that right using just the 6 strings. They could have dropped tuned E to D, but IIRC Mono said they had standard tuning.
And just like how all MC's shootings be drive-byes, all my bass guitars be 5-strings (Ibanez K5 and a Warwick)
while we're on the topic of basses, :-3 :

So you Like playing on the 7 Strings?
Last time i played one i struggled to get my head around it ha. Because it's in such a deep tuning they dont really work for things like Killswitch engaged :(
MB i'd just need to get used to it.
