For all my fellow sufferers of the "Invalid Checkpoint" error, there is now a better way to fix it than replay the level!
Go to X:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2
Delete the file named 'cloth'. It's worked for me twice so far.
I have no idea why it works, I just know it does. I figured this out because it is the only thing left in the folder after you uninstall Halo 2.
I don't know yet if this has any side effects (eg no online play, erasing settings, erasing savepoint), but it fixes that effing "invalid checkpoint" error.
