Somehow, for some reason we've been given Gold-Level XBL thingy, so if you're a Silver User, go take advantage of it. I don't know what event is happening or how long this will last...just go! =A

Not a glitch, It's most likely some event (like on Halo 3's release, everyone had Gold for 3 days...)

I haven't noticed anything, just a moment ago halo 2 was still bugging my with you need gold to do this and that, so I think I haven't got it.

I was just being sarcastic when i said it's a glitch. Syuusuke was it just you that got the gold or have you talked to anyone else with the same thing? I highly doubt it was on purpose, maybe somebody just paid on the wrong account. JK

Yes. I highly doubt MS actually gave every single Gold feature to Silver users. I deleted H2V and GFWL long ago so I have yet to check it out, but I'm sure cross-platform play will never be given to Silver users.

I hope that the new Silver features include built-in voice chat and dedicated server stuff and all that.

i chekced my old acoount and i can use gold feature on gears too. Cool.

However, on the live.xbox.com site, I cannot execute any Gold-featured stuff (send message from the site).

I'm not believing this was intentional until I see an official statement from microsoft regarding games for windows live. For all we know, this could be another one of those server quirks xbl has every now and then. But probably out of the few hundred people that actually use games for windows live, it wouldn't hurt them at all to offer all games for windows live gold features to everyone because it is a major rip-off to begin with.
