XBCD halo2

I'm using the Xbox controller, not xbox 360 controller with halo2 for vista. The driver for XBCD vista x32 is installed and the controller seems to work because the XBDC setup matches all the buttons, etc. But when i'm in halo2 or even halo:combat evolved, the buttons are all mixed up and some don't even work.
Is there anything i can do to fix this?????

You can remap the buttons to be what you want them to be (or should be).

okay, but how can I remap them?? My version of Halo2 doesn't have any options for changing the gamepad settings, only the keyboard settings

Use the XBCD configuration tool. Should have a shortcut under 'All programs'.
