We'll this might be old to some of you, but it's brand you to me! Usually EA games are okay, some are great (Take BF2 for example). The only EA Game I hated was BF 2142 and that was because of it's regularly 'laggy' gameplay. Even if you had a high end machine with very good connection speeds, you'd still get a weird type of laggy feeling.
Anyway, this game looks pretty awesome so far. I hope they put a lot of work into this.
Discuss? :)

I like FPS games better than MOST RTSs because modifications are usually better and more deep, as in you can completely change the feel of an FPS game but not an RTS. Take Half-life 2 for example.(Dystopia, Shadowgrounds, etc...)

your link fails.
found the trailer though, looks like a game i want to play, even though the trailer fails.
i think its going to be alot like republic commando. just more people to command?
most of the rock on the first bit, where the camera moves forward is a flat surface with a rock texture
also im not diggin the art direction. they should stick more to the original Tiberian sun designs (not the gay meshsmoothed shit, but design-wise)
i'm dont bashing :)

The EA brand name says enough. I can already see 80% of the game's budget gone into marketing and advertising.

Renegade had a lot of good ideas for a FPS, but they weren't executed well enough. I hope the execution part get's better this time, supposing Tiberium is going to be anything like Renegade.

I can see this being somewhat like the Star wars Battlefront series.
I think I might get it.

hey, renegade was a cool game!
But its a shame EA has it, jahrain's right about their budget tactics.

So it's going to be half assed? Man I really wanted a true CNC FPS that's good.

Well since EA is publishing it, it will probably be the usual rushed out the door job on a tight budget while whats little is left (after 80 - 90% of the game's finances are spent on creating CG for trailers, commercials, payed/bribed previews/reviews, and hiring a bunch of kids and random EA workers to go create payed fansites, communities, blogs, forums etc about the game so everyone is talking about it all over the internet) will go into its development. No one ever takes note of this cycle because by the time the game is released, they will already have another product all hyped up all over the internet to take away the attention from the miserable failure of the previous title.
If you think this doesn't happen, get a job in the entertainment marketing industry. I got paid $40 an hour once to create 100s of accounts on many different sites to do that exact thing. What you realize is how dumb people are. If someone is told to like something, they will end up liking it. If someone is convinced that X is awesome, just out of human stubbornness, they will continue to convince themselves how awesome X is as long as everyone else on the TV, Radio and Internet is saying X is awesome regardless of how much of a piece of shit X is because everyone wants to conform to what is considered popular. Big shot companies know about this and take advantage of this to sell their products by creating artificial desire for the product.

Honestly it looks like rubbish at this stage in development. I don't want to play a combat game that is dominated by ranged one-shot-kill weapons. It's still all viable to change though, so only time will tell.
