Well, I've been given the family's 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

I love it to death but there is on one thing I cant seem to fix on it. My dad never keep this car clean in the last year before he gave it to me and and now it's got mold/meldew (I'm guessing) on the doors. The black spots look ugly as fuhh and there seems to be nothing I can do to get them off. Washing, simple green, SuperClean, none of that works and I want the spots off because once they are off the car will look a ahella lot better I just know that.

Does anybody know what I can put on the spots to remove them without taking paint?

Hire a Buffer and give the Car a buff job ;D

i'm not a much of a car fiend (or at all) but if i had those marks i'd either continue to scrub or try and buff them out

I would hire a professional for this one. Although it is possible to remove them by yourself, it might be easier/cheaper/safer to let someone who knows what he is doing to do the whole car. (interior, exterior, and hood cleaning) I once had the chance to see what they do when they clean out a car, and i must say, it is a VERY thorough process. They would clean everything to the point that if there is a stain on the carpet over some spilled coke, they would take it out and clean both the frame and the carpet.

You will need to sand that stuff off and repaint your car. So yes you'll probably need some help on this one.

I think thats just oxidized metal...although not fully oxidized as noted by its blacker color. I dunno.

No, the mold was on plastic trim pieces AND metal of the door.

Get a professional cleaner. It's better to "waste" the money than to risk damaging your car. or you could sell this ugly and unreliable American car and buy a Toyota or Nissan instead

More American cars sold = more jobs = more money = less half dead Asian kids in factories.

American cars FTW. Also America has GM and Saturn. Between the Corvette and Ion my future purchase of cars is set.

Funny you, I love ignorant people :D

70% of Toyota's are made in the US, while around 50% of Chevy's are. Have fun with your "American" cars.

I'd take an 'unreliable' American Muscle car over a Toyota any day.

Get back on topic guys. I put that opinion of mine in ninja text for a reason. I have lived in the states for 3 years, and every American car my family has rented has been completely terrible, even the Cadillac CTS we rented in Boston. Anyway statistics show that economical American drivers would rather buy a Toyota Camry than a Ford or Chevy, and rich drivers would rather buy a Lexus or a German car than a Cadillac/Lincoln. /endofftopic

Back on topic: Looks good, Wakeboy! (the paint I mean). By the way, I remember renting the exact same car on vacation in New York in 1999...lol

Haha, awesome.

Yeah, economical. That means they don't spend a lot of money. Japanese cars are cheaper and get better gas mileage. Those statistics are flawed because they only interviewed cheap people who hate spending money. GG.

On topic, call a pro. Black mold will fuck you up.

No, black mold can get you hospitalized quickly, and will attack your respiratory system pretty vigorously. just a few minutes of exposure in its prime growing conditions can take a person down hard and fast.

I doubt that black mold on the outside of a car would be the same type that grows inside damp houses.
