You need to compile the .ASS file with a lightmap for the first time.

You can also use gueriila to set the lightmap as the same one form the example.map

this is exactly what i type

[strings]

Name= "then i type the name here"
Discription= "them i enter in a short discription"

then i save it to that data/something else/discriptions folder. (saving it as a Unicode) but then it says i cant save it there so i save it into my documents, then move the file back into the one i tried to save it in.

Check if your H2EK folders aren't read-only.

In explorer, rightclick on your Halo 2 Map editor map, select properties, then at the bottom there's a box 'read only', if it's checked, either black or gray, uncheck it and click Apply, then select 'Apply to all subfolders and files', then click Ok. May take a minute or so.

Don't know if you have UAC on, turn that off too. And putting the description in the map is one of the least important things of making a map to start with.
