No it is a copy of the summary from the file archive that gets emailed to those who have subscribed to receive it. I hadn't sent out the email in a while and decided to post it here as well in case any of your members were not subscribed to it. There were numerous files that had not been annouced in your forum.

Is anybody currently able to play a custom map?

I just downloaded Posterity (which is not listed on your summary post) and it doesn't even show up if I try to make a custom game. In reality, I'd like to get the server to run custom maps again. But that is just a lost cause I think.

Any tips for me?

Posterity is one of the custom maps i'm not able to play also. I believe it was packaged on a system without the h2 patch applyed or something.

I'd like to play that one too it looks sweet. Maybe someone should inform the author of the map.

It should be put in regular CE, since CE has none of these problems :3

Otherwise, I heard halo 2 has trouble recognizing maps sometimes, so the most you can do is wait, unless you know someting I dont.

Hey the XF Custom map server is now up and running. I've compiled a map pack for easy download at our website: www.xfclan.net (http://www.xfclan.net) (Look for the forum button, then the 'Chillout Zone')

Just wanted to comment on the 'Danger Canyon 2' map. It won't be recognized in a playlist unless you use the map name of 'Danger Canyon' (without the '2'). But the file name does have the '2'. So I find that interesting.

This is just an fyi to everyone.

Enjoy.

I could change that if you like. I know ingame it just says danger canyon. I originally had it say danger canyon vista but i changed that. Sorry for the confusion.

[MAP] - Scorpion Song

I will get it posted permanently somewhere but this is a good link for the next week. I also didn't want to start a new thread just yet as I haven't gotten around to getting a pic of the map yet and that would violate the forum rules which I of course don't want to do. :iia:

I didn't have a chance today to post any pics but I will soon

Basically, its a tank wars map that requires a bit of tank skill and strategy (if played strictly as a tank game). It can also be a snipe or rocket game. Player starts out with a shotgun in the map default setting. I tried to design it to give an advantage to elite players who know how to time their jumps right as the roof area requires very precise jumping to make it around. I also know that I could have added some advanced stuff in but honestly I like basic cool maps and I am really challenged for free time to do this. I hope you guys like it.

Also, it will be up on IdjikiServer ingame.
side note - I am increasing the bandwidth on IdjikiServer as I needed to anyway and some players were complaining about some slowdowns.

Usually a good rule is to make the map file name similiar to the actual map title. However, that does not need to be done. Many map file names and map titles are very different. The 2 just denotes his final version since he let ppl play the beta version for testing and didn't want to name it the same filename (as had happened with the Posterity map).

:D
