10 EST.

I've seen one already, I dunno how many years ago. The moon looks reddish-orange, whoop-de-do.

Maybe the Aliens will use the opportunity to save us from our evil Sun-God, and beam us back to the mothership.:tinfoil:

There was a partial one here in August last year: http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs21/f/2007/240/4/7/Total_Lunar_Eclipse_28_08_07_by_Timo12.jpg

Hey Timo, this actually might be a good time to use your uber photography skills, unless you already have a picture of a total lunar eclipse.

I saw it. It looked like a 3d golf ball about to hit me in the eye.

This map shows the position of the Moon (the cross in the centre) at the time of maximum eclipse. The darkened area sees the whole total eclipse; the pink areas to the right see only the beginning; and the blue areas on the left see the end. The moment of maximum eclipse will be visible from the darker pink and blue areas, and the whole of the darkened area.
Won't be seen in New Zealand :-(

I just watched the lunar eclipse, it's covered now. This is one of the main reasons why I love living in the country.

I just went out and saw it. Whenever witnessing this kind of uncommon phenomena, it makes me wonder how people in the distant past viewed these occurrences.

I tried doing a time-lapse of it but it turned out horrible. There just had to be a snow storm that night and the clouds covered most of the sky.

It was so brilliant-orangy here that you could see it through the clouds.
