Dimensions of brick

A brick has traditionally been small enough to carry in one hand. These days, British Standards (http://www.student.cardonald.ac.uk/internal/materials/construction/brick%20dimensions/assets/misc/nojs.htm) set precise guidelines on the size of a brick.
This size of the actual brick is known as the work size, with each face of the brick having a standard size.
Bricks also have a coordinating size, which is the work size plus a nominal 10 mm mortar joint.

Yeah, I took a look at a few websites which all had different sizes of brick that were pretty damn close to one another. I had a huge laugh at it and wanted to see what some of you guys though. I'm all for a brick standard after seeing it all. Screw architectural individuality and such.
