I have a new computer, and the problem is that its one of these here wide screen ones. So naturally halo runs full screen.
Meanwhile it just decides that everything should be stretched. Ive tried the vidmode command to make the resolution 768:640 to accomodate this thing, but then it just crashes on startup. Width X does nothing for me either, how would I go about getting a real aspect ratio, instead of this stretched crap.
And if it matters Im on vista :|

You need to use a resolution that windows can run.

I have a true 16:10 monitor, and it f's up the FOV. If you trying to play any mods with hud overlays (example: Metroid Online), it's unbearable.
So :p

Mine's 16:10 as well, Halo looks fine, your Metroid Online HUD looked fine, etc, etc. I haven't a single complaint about this resolution.
