Well the gallery thread is locked, so the stuff I posted there yesterday is gone :|
So Ill repost it here :o

There a some lighting, UV, and smoothing errors here and there, and Im working to fix them.
If you still need an overhead view of the level, if the video wasnt enough to show you what it is like, just post it here and Ill go get one.
I also used some of sunny's amazing bloom things, on the lights. :3

The two doorways on the parallel outcroppings (coming out towards you in the first pic) need to have a small gap above them, before the wall gives way to the angled-off top. Forerunner architecture does not use many instances of acute angles. Other than that, it appears to be a quality level. Definitely nothing special, but I'd say its about on par with Arteen's middle works (which is a very good place to be).

Im thinking about putting frames like on the tunnels in sidewinder, around the exits, but I cant really do that until Geo is finished fixing things up on the cliffs and ground.
So I guess its all sapien work for me until its done :3

Actually, I changed it to night to practice lighting, Im the next sunny (not) lulz, but dynamic landing beacons at night look really damn good with a high radius.
Im re lightmapping for a daytime one, to see how they would look there, and then I can decide which time of day my map would look best on :3
Also polar/ghost/jcap/any other mod or admin.

You have, dont worry, Im told my cliffs and terrain are average, and for someone who hasnt done real cliffs almost ever before, without using displace, Id hope this is an improvement for me :o, but yeah, I got a new computer and if you could find that tut in your filefront it would make me love you more :3

Completely redoing those cliffs for you.:) I am also currently working on a cliff texture for the map, cause the dangercanyon cliff texture is overused. And selentic you better put Ki11a's AR with my skin in there :D.

New video, its almost done, just a few terrain errors, and UV errors to fix.
Thanks to sunny for the cave shader, which I de lagged.
I got the sky from Prime, so Ill assume jahrain made it. Its :awesome: so yeah :3
I tried fixing up the cliffs, and I learned how to use soft selection so hopefully theyre better now :D

If it wasn't for Lone Wolf's little devmode, that would have been a fun game.
A little testing of my own in my devmode-free LAN server revealed some... flaws I'll have to fix in my re-population.

I want to extend the story out some more by adding a Covenant crash site, but I really don't want to kill people's computers with a scenery overload.KILL THE COMPUTERS! KILL THE COMPUTERS! Seriously, you'll regret it later. Add the second crash site. It'll be worth it.

It's decent but it would be 10x better if halo's engine didn't suck so much especially on the graphics end.

True, but not much I can do about it.
Other than use sunnys shaders and make it awesome :o
Also, cmon guys, one of you has to know how to do the dynamic lightning effect from prime T3 D:

Last time I played this it was dark and kinda hard to see, hope you guys make it brighter. The map seems too small for vehicles besides turrets. Also if your gonna have plant scenery try detail objects or get some more plants.

Jay, if you look very carefully, there is a humongous cloud between the firing path of the turret to the opposing base, making it damn near impossible to get even one hit even spraying the whole base with it, nor can you hit the base its side is on the walls are too high.
No one throughout the whole beta testing sessions we have had has gotten a kill with it :\

I took out the other vehicle then.
Now we're back down to one turret.
And, as much as I like it, if you don't want it, then I'll take out the Pelican site.
Dont worry, I repopulated the level from the old scenario. Its only one shotgun per base, and perfectly balanced.
Also Update.
Thanks to killa we finished the BSP, and it will most likely be uploaded to halomaps tonight, or tommorow.

Uploaded to halomaps, the map is now called sympathy, thanks to Kidd uploading a bullshit mod of something or other to halomaps using the same name, in a sad attempt to discredit me :|
