The upper part of the pump touching the gun looks a tad awkward; though I'm not sure if it's the angle or what. It looks like it's just intersecting with the rest of the gun. Also, you could have posted this in your other weapons thread tbh :\

E : The tip of the pump doesn't seem accurate either. There's a little "block"... thingy... on the ref that you're missing.

Thats a good idea, next time I will post it there.

Yeah i just noticed that block bit, and the angle of the barrel is a bit doggy.

Thanks for the points.

take a look at some exploded diagrams of shotguns. the part you modeled wrong is called a slide action bar. it's not supposed to be a fat brick between the barrel and tube. also, fix the grip and the trigger gaurd and rail system. those are totally wrong, and need to be redone. you're right, not a very good model.

Besides the trigger area and the little block thingy teh lag mentioned, it looks almost EXACTLY the same as the reference.

EDIT: Nvm, I see what Snaf was talking about by the slide action bar. So now I've pretty much just said nothing. :/

Post a wireframe too. wireframes are just as important as the actually model itself. also, you don't seem to have a very good understanding of each individual part. The area outlined in red is all one part that attaches to the body of the shotgun. you have it modeled as some random detail.

also the holes in the rail attachment are not one continuous hole. they're just a cut through the thin plastic

By the way, making your meshes higher poly, rendering them better and saving as a .png doesn't make them any better. keep practicing. you can get all fancy once your models are worth it.

Lol. ok.

^ I understand that you are helping me but i dont want to go into loads of detail lol. I dont want to make it to high poly. As the map it is going in map be high poly.

trigger guard looks a little wide, doesn't it?

well this is where you learn little tricks and such, and things like optimizing. you won't ever see the back facing of the ris attachment there. so all you'd be doing is cutting the middle section out of the continuous hole you already have, to make it look like it stops. You won't need to add faces on the opposite side that rests on the gun. if don properly it will hardly increase the tri count.

How about a render of the actual gun so we can see it more clearly?

awesome, you block off most of the details by putting them side by side and you render at 640x480.

1) don't block off the objects in your renders
2) render large enough for it to be seen!

Your trigger needs more of an indent coming in from the grip, its a hard angle and that would not be very conferable.
