This map was originally called competence, but as some of you know, Kidd uploaded some bullshit mod of BG or something to halomaps under that name, so I couldnt use it anymore, so The map is now named Sympathy.
Video : http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l42/selentic/?action=view¤t=competence.flv
That video is one BSP old, but the level is overall the same as it was then, except with a few fixes.
I have made use of dynamic lighting quite often in this as you will see, and I found it shows off bump maps really nicely.
Credits : Thanks to Sunny for his cave shaders, which I edited so that I got a good FPS when around them. I also used your lenseflare scenerys from Valkyrie around the lights. (Sorry dude I forgot you in the original readme I uploaded to halomaps :( )
Jahrain for his sky from Prime T3, along with his background noises and particle systems.
GeoGeek for the ground texture.
Killa for RE-Uving the ground :3
Eleven for making a few custom textures that were placed into this map.
Llamamaster for the secret sign.
All the beta testers for letting me have my fill of fun on the map before the general public :D
And anyone else I may have forgotten
I hope this helps break us out of the lack of good maps being released, so heres the link.

Honestly, not bad. Just listen to whoever it was on hm.org to what they were saying about cubemaps and whatnot, then re-release a final version with those fixes and whatever else pops up.

Post pics nigga
I posted a video, was that not enough for you D:
@higuy, That would completely ruin the map tbh. The idea of the map was reduced visibility, and making it so that people can choose to have reduced visibility, or see everything, would sort of ruin the map wouldnt you say?
@Sever, Ya, Ive had some mixed thoughts on the cubemaps, I really liked what I did with the interior, so did a few other people, Its half against, half for.
Chances are I wont release a final version either, this was really just a practice for terrain and cliff modelling, and besides a few messups, I did good right :embarrassed:
But then, theres always a maybe.

For cubemaps, I recommend making your own! If you don't know how to do so, I'll rush tutorials.
But, I tried this out. And I really enjoy it! It's well balanced (just don't take my word on gameplay though haha), well structured, beautifully done, and clean. Unique for custom maps.
The use of lighting, shaders, and weather was perfect. My average FPS is around 100.

Gaylomaps is slow :SHow much are you willing to pay to make it faster "gay wolf"? We move 6,000gb - 8,000gb a month in files and have capped the bandwidth at 24Mb/s which is roughly half of a DS3, and you guys use it all. For free. I may not expect respect for what we do for you but I sure don't expect to be denigrated. Learn to share.
You have no entitlement to my generosity.
looks like dennis didnt even include the ackknowledgements part :|I stopped posting acknowledgements on the website because there was more acknowledgements than descriptions. And I was getting complaints about them. The readme.txt files are intact with all the acknowledgements.

You angered the Dennis. He resorted to name-calling rather than trying to keep the peace.

But his point is grounded very well. We use Halomaps to upload all of our shit, download all of our shit, and then Dennis deals with all of our shit on the forums. And then people still give him shit on other forums. I think its fine to not put the acknowledgments in there. People now-a-days are out for glory, rather then making good maps that have a good description in the readme, so that you know its a good map before you download it.

SO i finally had a chance to play the map and its great. i just got a new graphics card so it looked great. i played a 1v1 with some other guy and it was so much fun. I love the running around in the dark with a shotgun feeling you get when playing, because thats what i was doing. great work guys.
