Jeez people. I've forgotten how shitty the halo community is around the simple aspect of source control. The moment your work leaves your computer, it can be used under the fair use policy. Whenever someone takes your shit and starts making a profit or hurting your own profit is when you can bitch.

Hell, it looks GOOD. I can't say much more than that - really I'd prefer to see it with a classic weaponset than one you don't (to my knowledge) have permission for, but still.

You're all fucking hippocrits. I like Zteam and all, but there's no reason they should be praised for doing the same thing he's doing.

I'd like to ask everyone to keep off the subject of the ripped zteam content. For the record, no, I didn't and don't approve of his actions, but this is still a matter that's best handled quietly and privately. No need for the community to get into an uproar, regardless of what you believe.

Gaigher is using other people's tags in a map, So what? He went through the effort trying to get them, which the average dumbass would give up soon after finding it protected. He understands what kind of words will be said here when he posted more information on the project. He also made a good looking map at the same time, and seems to be creating new tags himself to make it even better. He also wants people to have a great amount of fun in the map. Usually maps that don't have the classic weapon set are more played by the community, whether better or worse. But then there is using other people's effort without their own permission, but anything that is compiled (or something simelar, can't remember) is property of Bungie (?), I believe. The same thing with the ripped Halo 2 models and textures.

I am looking forward to this map.

Looking good, except the indoor lighting seems a little too bright. But then again, as this is still a WIP, I bet it's going to be fixed before the next update.

And I also got "sorry for ripping your tags" out of that, you're not the only one selentic...

The only thing that's encrypted is the tag names*, they aren't necessary to get the actual tags.

I liked this section of Uprising. I look forward to playing this map. I love it when people make multiplayer maps influenced from the Halo campaigns.

They were always semi protected, Hek plus's protection sucks. Any monkey with half a brain can get around it, this is a perfect example. Also, none of the team really cares that the tags were released/stolen. They've been overhauled like 3 times since then.

Love how you based it off the 3rd to last (Correct me if I'm wrong) level in Halo 2. Great idea and GREAT gameplay. I might host this... to bad you didn't protect it or give a credits to anything not made by you in a readme file with the download... very unprofessional release if you ask me.

It is protected. He just changed the protected tag filepath string. The only difference is that now it doesn't contain any invalid filepath characters (<, > in particular). You can extract individual tags, one at a time.

Also, public message: If anyone does manage to get past protection on our maps, and wishes to use the content we have already released, I hereby grant permission to do so.

Quality-wise, it's decent. The only thing that bothers me mainly is how there are only stock strings; the MA5K says "Picked up an assault rifle", Sentinel beam and carbine say "Picked up a flamethrower", and the Beam rifle says nothing. If anything, you get props for taking a bunch of content from different places and getting it to work together with few problems.

As for gameplay, I, sadly, can't play it due to the fact that my computer is a steaming pile of shit and I struggle for 20 frames per second on an EMPTY MAP.

If anyone uses the same 2 plants and vine textures he used in this map you will be doomed to a live in Quebec for eternity.

Other than the poor choices in vegetation scenery, the weapons set was shit too.

The Sentinel beam is ridiculously overpowered.

Melee only weapons do not belong in halo 1 multiplayer.

The ghost is pretty much useless for the bottom path as it gets slowed down by the water making it a death trap.

The weapons just did not work at all together.

The lighting could have been greatly improved.

The tunnel path between the bases was really boring and needed more cover than just a few thin pillars strewn throughout it.

There is essentially no cover between the teleporter path and tunnel path, to and from the base.

The cliffs could have been modeled better.

That's all I can think of right now.

Yeah after playing with people instead of myself (you know who you are) I realized my post earlier does not reflect how I feel now.
Still nice attempt but should've put more effort and time and quality before releasing it.
