Alot of people allready know about it, but you people here are all in the dark about all things unreal, so here it is. Made possible by a guy called EvilEngine.

I had more pictures but the host is being a faggot, so you'll have to just download and see for yourself. It comes with first person arms and all that jazz. It's really quite awesome seeing the MC holding a shock rifle.

Yeah but those aren't my screens. I have bloom muted and only the "quality bloom" enabled. Looks less foggy and a bit nicer imo.

Mb i should get this game afterall
but fuck me i'm knee deep in Puter games at the moment. i've got all the shit i had before i melted my 6800, so thats games like Doom3, quake 4 , fear , COD2 ect ect that i have to finish, along with all my OJ box stuff (gotta play though again for epic winz) crysis, leasure suit larry, halo, COD4
and then learn how to play CSS
and thats just quoting my desktop items.
thank god i'm on hollidays next week, mb i can power through some of these :D!

Yea Unreal Tournament's not really the type of game to power through.
Its main purpose is to be that game that you play when you have 15-30 minutes to kill and you just want to get out a day's worth of videogame playing in it.
Epic knows this, hence why it doesn't require a DVD to play. No point spending 10 minutes hunting down a DVD to play a game for 15.

Yea o.o I'm not sure if online... I think the server needs the package installed for custom characters.
You know -- so people don't come in with hitboxes the size of a grapefruit.

YES He finally fucking released them. There was some copyright shit going on about the Spartan model, apparently Microsoft doesn't care though.
Now we just gotta wait for the Crysis model...

well i have the game, but dont have the game at the same time if you know what i mean :P
i've done most of the campain but after i got to that temple level or watever i just stopped.
i kicked dano's ass at multiplayer. there where taunts, there where lol's and there was screen humping ^_^

Yea the campaign was pointless...
Epic only threw it in there to be a tutorial for multiplayer... and to say they have a Campaign mode of some sort in there somewhere... that's about it.
Originally they had a LARGE single player storyline planned... but it was canned.

Halo UT was a Halo conversion for UT2004 that had lots of people high in hopes, but they seemed to care more about graphics than functionality... Needless to say it didn't get very far and only three weapons were completed. Pistol, AR, and Plasma Rifle. They managed to port some vehicles, but all they were were remodels of old vehicles... nothing extremely impressive.
They did however manage to make some REALLY NICE-ASS levels.
As a matter of fact, I think this EvilEngine guy who made the Spartan model for UT3 was the guy who did most of the graphics in Halo UT.
Kind of sad, I really wanted it to be finished... it was part of my motivation on doing a UT to Halo mod that unfortunately, will most likely also never be finished. Lack of motivation/3DS skillz. ;[

Damn that looks good. I definitely got to try this once I get my PC's CD Drive fixed and my RAM's been upped. Think 1 Gig willbeenough to take it though?

Yeah, I have an ATI Radeon something-another. Either way, my video card is supposedly good, but my RAM is screwy. What would be the features to turn off in UT3 to where it will run smoothly but maintain descent quality?

I use XP. The graphics card I use is said to run Half-Life games on high settings, which seeing as how the graphics aren't bad at all in Halo, my graphics card isn't too much of the problem. My RAM is bad though. It's 388 Mb....

If it's an ATI X-something or an nVidia Geforce 6-something... it'll play functionally on low settings...
What settings you'll actually end up playing it with depends.

Okay thanks. Would a good testing game, such as a trial, be Bioshock (unless there is a downloadable trial for UT3 elsewhere)?

And Bioshock actually has higher requirements than UT3. (Excluding mods, you never know how many resources some third party dude will require.)

I believe the map "Shangri La" is on that demo.
It's ~the most computationally-intensive map UT3 has to offer. If you can run it, you'll have no problem with the rest of the game.
Also, if you patch UT3 fully, there are a number of optimizations in the full game that are not in the Beta-Demo. Your performance should slightly increase... but nothing majorly noticeable.

It's not the fact that it never got popular.. it's the fact that they focused so much on models and grahpics and custom levels, rather than the HUD and the weapons. They got the weapons ported within the first few months, as well as a few vehicles, but they never worked on the bipedal properties, energy shields, or anything. It was basically UT with a couple Halo weapons and player models.
The only weapons they got ported were the Pistol, the AR, and the Plasma Rifle. And they were all pretty glitchy. Pistol fired too slow, AR pushed corpses around way too much and headshotted (random spray = instant kill). It had potential, but all they focused on were the levels and models and skins rather than functionality. Now it's dead, and they didn't continue the project after UT3 came out.
The guys over at http://runestorm.com/ have given me my fix of a kick ass mod, though. Only two people working on the developement, too.
