Is it just me, or is Avalanche's sky darker than I thought?

I also noticed that the voice in the trailer is David Scully, the voice of Sergeant Johnson.

If the heroic map pack never came out for free, I think I would have bought it, but this... I don't know if it's just me, but I don't feel at all interested in these maps. Hopin' they come out for free after a few months.

Doesn't look too impressive. Flying vehicles and sidewinder never was very much fun. I'm even going to go as far as saying man cannons and sidewinder wont be very much fun. The skies are looking amazing though :\.

Of the DLC maps, only Avalanche and Standoff have really excited me. Hopefully their third map pack will have some really cool stuff Ice Fields or Danger Canyon.

That was a really well done trailer, more fitting for a movie than a map pack.

I agree. Good thing it didn't take them much time to do. A real trailer for a map pack would have to be something like a director commentary.

they need to remake timberland in sierra 117 themed :)


E: i remeber watching the video about the first halo 2 map pack with containment, they said that was suppost to be a remake of timberland.. yet the gameplay is totally different 0_o

It is a 'remake' of Timberland the same way Guardian is a 'remake' of Lockout. The core elements are still there, but everything has been fully retooled and reconstructed for the changes in gameplay and physics.

I want a real remake of Timberland. We need a map pack with Ice Fields, Danger Canyon, and Timberland.

Yeah, they really tried to reinvent the wheel when it was rolling just fine all along. Timberland is one of the best maps for Big Team King (along with Damnation and Danger Canyon - ALL of which need to have true-to-original-form remakes in amazing H3 environments). If one of my friends (or I) gets a dedicated server up and running, Timberland will DEFINITELY be on the playlist.

the trailer wont play for me in wmp, and when i try in vlc, its all garbled, and i cant see anything.

tried medium and large wmv.

guess ill try quicktime.

Agreed.

Looks pretty good, I wanna see what the inside of the bases look like. I'll definitely be buying these when they come out.
