i have problem making the fire spread to a small radius. all the fire is, is the grenade. also i have trouble getting the fire last for a specific duration and sometimes it bounces too much...also it sticks to trees...and only trees

I have a Napalm Bomb tag i made. It creates "realistic" spreading fire. But the radious is currently set to 5 world units so its a pretty big bomb. I used it as a Equipment type in my maps. i can send you the tags and you can work off of them if you like?

The model for the grenade is too skinny...and too big.

Someone made firebomb grenades even before h2, I think the map is dojo or something. Check the tags in that out.

I remember that map....didn't they look like red plasma grenades? If not that might have been my friends beta's.

For the sticking to trees problem, go into the projectile tag and scroll down to the material responses header. There is a scroll bar. Scroll down to wood and it will probably say attach. change it to detonate and it will explode when it comes into contact with anything made of wood. Now, if you actually want the grenade to attach. I think that should do it.

i want the fire to attach not the nade itself...

Ledhedgn can show you how to get it to work right. He made a awesome fire nade type rocket with exploding fire debri.
"depending on if you want the nade to go away, or if you want hte nade to bounce, make the material response according, if you want bounce, then impact effect is fire so it ignites, for detonation, fire"
