Exactly I would recommend giving more thought into it and, before doing your own strucutre to try to replicate one from halo 3. This way you can get a feel for forerunner and, when you go off to make your custom model you will make one that looks amazing. But then again im no expert :p lets wait for one of the modeling gods to come.

Seems like theres to many ridges to me. Also, the slopes generally seem to be longer in forerunner structures

=P i have made existing forerunner structure. when i said i got lazy i mean like making it in length not details this is valhalla base before released with limited resources.

Im also pretty shure (not completely though) that forerunner stuff dose not use smoothing. And that base is out of proportion.

In the picture on the top, make those bars on the underside of the top less close together, I dont like how they look right now.

And chamfer some of those things on the front.

Otherwise its a good start.

Jesus Christ, use [shot] tags on your images.

If you aren't willing to put effort into your work, don't expect people to put effort into helping you.

when i said i got lazy i mean in length(a repeated pattern). and i think what i showed is good enough to give an idea where im heading in forerunner design.
