Okay. I don't know what has been happening lately, aside from the website revamp (an absence of several months will do that to you), and I know that this has been raised up before (possibly by me), but are people still working on the Delta Halo UI?
It's kind of like asking when Prometheus will be released, I know, but if possible, please answer. Thx.

nobody looks like they'll take care of it tbh.
CMT has plenty of delta halo texures (and shaders) from our mp maps. Message me when you get online.

Didn't want to waste the space of a new thread... is this project even still alive and going to be released? Hell I saw the other thread i don't care if death island is in the background release this for the cummunity. :/

I've sent the bsp to multiple groups who claimed interests, but nothing has happened.
Oh well. Don't count on a release.

Wow, pathetic to get people hyped up for nothing. I remember when they first announced working on it and after all this time come back to search old threads and this is one of the few that came, the one showcasing the project was apparently locked.

Of course I understand. I was also excited to model the bsp I've wanted to since I played H2. I put a lot of hard work into that bsp. I know the others who worked on the UI worked hard as well.

I've got the BSP, but there are other things I need to do for other people first. If anyone's a decent UVer, speak up and this can be done faster.

No they are releasing a modified Delta Halo UI to go along with their SPv2... Sort of like the CMT UI v2.

It looks exactly the same i think, but theyve added some special CMT stuff to it too. maybe the one they release before SPv2 will be the original one.

We are finishing one of the Delta UI bsps.
It is not going to have any CMT features or extras, nor is it going to have anything to do with CMT.
CMT SPV2 uses a modified delta halo pause menu. Our mod has no relation to the actual UI.

All that needs to be done is to make sure that the background music is tagged as actual music, rather than just audio, and you can go to 'settings' and turn off in-game music. Yoyorast Island employs the same thing - when you have music turned off, Swan Lake does not play while you are in the Upper Sniper Tower.

Seriously, I am sick and fucking tired of seeing no one do anything to this bsp, so I will do it. Send me whatever textures you wanted in it, and I'll add some more if needed. I'll uv map and texture the entire thing, ok. Seriously, I will have it done.

but yeah... dano do you have textures for this?
I volunteered to just uv w/e I could using ripped textures originally when me and snaf started talking, he doesn't care just as long as it gets done tbh, and I don't think anyone else does. I'm pretty sure you can snag textures off of some of the remade halo2 maps easily right?
Unless you'd rather make all the forerunner ruins textures?
I guess thats up to you and snaf though now.
Also... think we can talk over aim? My aim should be listed in my profile, because, chances are your uv'ing a bsp that still has errors... if you started already XD

I only have one easy request to make of this UI.
Randomize and loop the music. PLEASE. CMT UI bugged the shit out of me because it started off with one song over and over again. (No offence, it's an awesome UI)
EDIT: Will there be any consideration over Halo 3 music or Mothergoat's?

That was an idea - to just replace Installation 04 (Alpha Halo) with Delta Halo - but no one wanted to make a new quality space sky and ring.

It would, but that wasn't what we originally set out to accomplish on this project. We had our sights set on a final product, and really, we don't want to release anything until it is exactly how we first thought of it. I also refuse to let all the work Snaf put into recreating the entire Regret lake scene from scratch go unused and unrecognized.

Didn't one of Bungie's UIs for the halo 3 beta use a wireframe? I remember seeing one a while back and wondering why they didn't do that more.

I vote for the release of that until the full version with the custom BPS is done. Then we can all download that one and nut our pants, because honestly the main Halo screen looks pretty sweet... just the UI itself is a bit boring

- The UI with The Ring for a backround has a illuminating white theme to it.
While...
- The Delta Halo UI has an illuminating Blue Theme to it?...
EDIT: ^^^ My eyes aren't deceiving me in the color recognition, is it?
Either you made two different themes or Timo created a custom one to fit his liking...
Either way, they're good themes and that Halo Ring one shouldn't get left with no improvement on backround environment or else it would be nothing but a basic variant...

Eh, release that one as it is and then when the other one is finished we can fully recognize the lake scene. Please for us. :rolleyes:

That could be a cool background for another variant to the UI (talking in terms of laterz on when the first ones finished).
I'm definitely hoping that snaf's model will become a map. I was working on fixing the errors so it could be used as a level bsp before dano went about skinning it.. actually I need to talk to snaf still not clear on weather or not dano is skinning an error free bsp XD I was away for a few days, so idk, I do have an error free version though. (Dano if your reading this IM me mb?) Using snaf to send bsp's back and fourth isn't the best idea; I want to send you the "error-free" version, in-case someone does decide to do a full multiplayer map build of it, that way it'll be textured without errors, so no one has to re-make UV's, no use in making extra work.

I've been waiting for this UI release since it was announced and the first images were shown... I concur with the vote to release the new menus on the original background, it'd be a great hold-over until the final release!

I also agree, the UI with the original backround is amazing. Though, if you wanted to make it a little different, you could just change the planet to be like the one in Halo 2, and it would be fine as well.
