This brings me back to the days of when i was little kid ruining my eyes in front of a tv watching batman, spiderman, and all those cartoons i have grown up loving. now there making a star wars cartoon. i know its childish, but I AM GOING TO WATCH IT ANYWAY!

The pilot or i should say now movie is going to be shown in theaters first before the tv series hits screens at home.

Synopsis: Another of the summer's most closely-guarded secrets, this animated extravaganza is meant to kick off the new Cartoon Network series of the same title. It's said to be focused on Anakin Skywalker, fresh from his victory in Attack of the Clones and not yet following the path of the Dark Side. At his side is his determined female padawan Ahsoka, as well as the incomparable Obi-Wan. Together they become entangled in a plot in which the kidnapping of Jabba the Hutt's son is used to set the Hutt clan against the Jedi Knights.

This is a re-make of the cartoon series already made that ended back in 2005.

Three Good Reasons to Watch
* 1. Two words: Jedi woman! It'll be fun to see what happens when the Force meets good old fashioned grrrrl power for the first time in the franchise.
* 2. Star Wars has always had the best eye candy, and making it 100% digital opens up limitless visual possibilities.
* 3. There's a chance we may gain some insight as to how a giant, burbling pile of lard like Jabba could conceivably reproduce.

Wasn't there a TV series out? I heard that the TV series won some awards.

I liked it better when it was the Cartoon Network miniseries.

I second Cons' motion.

it was a mini-series, but Lucas said he wanted to expand on story line of war so he is remaking it. i have a link to watch the old series in the post.

Oh please, you already raped my childhood with the prequels, you'll probably rape it again with the Indy flick, don't make it worse...

I think giving Anakin a padawan single handedly ruined the whole concept. Way to throw a wrench into the mix. Definately won't be seeing this. Might see it, provided they return Grievous to his original, kickass self.

Screw all of you, this looks like where it takes off after the Arc Trooper strike on the Banking Clan home planet. I've always wanted to see where the series went from there instead of just jumping to episode 3 warfare.

then you will be happy to know that greivous will be retuning, and also will be voiced by same actor from film Matthew Wood.

Funny thing about star wars movies.
Sure, they're a cultural icon and a must-see.

But typically, at least for me and most I know, when you go back and watch them you realize that in actuality, they're not really good at all.

I've seen this style used before and it's going to take a lot of work to pull off and look nice. Seeing how the Lucas Ranch-folk rarely see the light of day, I'm looking forward to seeing it done. The world needs less photo-realistic digital media nowadays.

I'm sick of seeing Lucas rape the Star Wars franchise. I wouldn't watch this if it was the only movie in the world.

The cartoon series was ridicoulous. Luckily i don't care too much for star wars (i've recently seen the very first film and it felt like some kind of 70's trash space fairy tale).

I loved the mini-series.
General grievous was such a badass, It made me want to see ep. 3 just to see how they killed him =P
But then he was all "Stand, stare-down, trash-talk, no-fight mode", which contrasted the series in a VERY annoying way.
I hope this is good, although I wont see it.

But the only Grievous that was any good was the one in the bottom left of that picture.
As in the one that never said two words in the six episodes the Clone Wars was on.
And wasn't a useless piece of crap.

I think it looks cool. The cartoon series raped Star Wars, but this one actually looks interesting. I'll be watching this one.

The style is hilarious, but very well executed. I'll make a trip to my buddy's movie theatre to see this.
