Uncheck the "House" box at the end, It requires a lot of data you probably don't know about your house.

Fill out everything and report back your carbon footprint - the house value.

My footprint is 5.033 tonnes of CO2.

How do you kids measure in?

bout 6

I don't have a car; I bike/walk everywhere, but I have a beast of a computer and the products I buy are less than efficient. Still, I think that calculator isn't too accurate because it doesn't take into account the fact that I hardly ever buy anything anyway, aside from groceries. I shop much much less than the average American.
Plus I live in an apartment, which is probably more efficient than a single house.
Plus I live in Boulder, which means I'm just better.

[/elitist know-it-all prick]

*checks the calculator estimator*
Yeah, it adds 1.5 tonnes just for "try to buy things with little packaging" as opposed to "only buy things with very little or no packaging". The last time I bought something that wasn't food was in January when I bought my laptop.

i would think that in the future carbon will be a valuable resource. maybe future generations will be grateful for the wealth of carbon within easy reach in the atmosphere, just waiting to be plucked out.
