I being a fan of the 60's cartoon.
Speed Racer was a kids cartoon. Not a sprital fliping off and swear worded movie. The could have at least watched some of the old cartoons and got an idea of what Speed racer was like. Not saying that the racing and the story was bad in fact they where pretty cool. But they could have done a far better job makeing it feel like the old cartoons.
Btw Rex Racer never faked his death, He ran away.

But they screwed with the story to much, and made it very far from the original series

I went to it, and walked out about 20 minutes in. Might of been decent later on, but the first 20 minutes were horrific kids crap. I got my money back. :p

The movie is for the fans/kids who used to watch the cartoon back in the 60's.
So for people who don't know much about Speed Racer, its pretty much a waste of
time and won't make much sence at all.

Ive heard lots of mixed opinions, but i need to see it for myself to pass judgment. from what i saw in the previews though it looks like its probably pretty bad, but the faced paced action and bright colors would keep me entertained for the 2 hours. I wouldnt mind seeing it, but nobody i know wanted to see it.
