Honestly, I don't take the names. Millions upon millions of engineers have died, so it couldn't be the same engineer, and even if you're following canon, there are two engineers. Are they both named Dell Conagher?

Also, the engineer is Poe.

Pretty sure the Engi is Tesla, not Poe.

Sniper is Daniel Boone, Spy is Fu Manchu, Heavy is most likely John Henry.

Scout could be Tom Sawyer. IDK going off LoEG here.

Most of the arguments I've heard are either for Billy the Kid or Huck Finn.
