Crazy ping

I use a wireless card when i play online. When i play on any server my ping is always red some times it will go yellow in the begining then to red. I didn't used to have that before. I could try using a cable but that will make me move my computer and i really don't want to do that. I have a Linksys pci wireless card. My router is a linksys also and my rouuter in in teh celling downstair and i get full bars. I don't use the controller panel that comes with the card because it makes vista slowdown and act gay. Any ideas?

get a longer cable? :\

Wireless extender

I just found a long cord as big as my house. My parents used it for there computer before going to wireless i guess i could use that.
