ATTN: All who play Portal
I have an art project coming up for my sculpture class, in which we need to sculpt a quite/proverb/phrase, and I have decided to create 13 cubes and use "The cake is a lie" (on one side of each cube), and to include plenty of in-game screenshots and advertising art (on the other unused sides). This is where you all come in: I need at least 26 artistically interesting high-resolution screenshots from the standard test chamber areas, 13 from the industrial areas (the last few legs of the last level, and any of the intermittent smaller areas) and 13 from the final chamber that houses GLaDOS. I'd prefer to not have the reticle in the picture, so, you can crop the image, or if there is a way to remove the reticle for screen shot purposes, you can do that. Thanks and +rep in advance to all who help me with this project.
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
Ok, I'll try to get some. First post here XD.
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
can i have a cube when your finished :D?
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
the reticle can be removed by putting "cl_drawhud 0" in the console.
btw, does anybody know the command to remove the first person weapons from the screen as well?
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
I also think rectile 0 works. I could do this, how high res are you considering?
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
One quadrant of the screen at at least any res. in the thousands should work. Really, though, just anything that doesn't look crappy. The cubes won't be much bigger than 3 inches, since I'm going to have to make 13 of them, along with the text for the quote. Also, if anyone can get their hands on any more images like these, that would be great.
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
r_drawviewmodel 0 for no portal gun.
This sounds like a cool project. If I have time, I might takea few screenshots.
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
Thanks on both accounts (the weaponless command and the potential screenshots).
Re: ATTN: All who play Portal
Where's
"The cake is a lie
The cake is a lie
The cake is a lie
The cake is a lie"?
