water problems
Ive been trying to put the water in my map for quite some time, but for some reason, it looks very ugly. I followed the water tutorial from halomaps but that didnt help out. Any help guys?
p.s. were can i upload photos to show how my water looks like?

lucky for you I have made a tutorial WAY better than code brains, just give me a min to upload it.
Edit: Ok here it is, I have uploaded it to www.halomaps.org although I dont think it is up yet.

@ cheezdue. also make sure the water plane and its UVW is the same ratio, ill just post a pic. note click on the pic to get full zoom.

no shaders in the tutorial? that sucks.
anyway from what i learned you dont need to add the water shader to water definitions in the bsp. that shader slot is used for ocean water and to make the ocean water animate you use the ocean templates, just take vindication_water shader and change the template. to set the height of the ocean water you change the number under the water area in the bsp and the ocean water doesnt need any geometry to be made in 3ds max.

use ocean_static_opaque_blend for non see through ocean water.

crap, let me fix it, i think i put the bitmaps in twice.
yeah i never got the tut tested, well i guess i just did, lol im uploading the correct version now
Edit: Ok here is the FIXED version, tell me if there is something else to be added b4 i reupload it to halomaps please thx.
