Re: In case you all forgot
The powerup orbs look incredible, but the battle rifle in the vid looks horrid to me. The skin looks really low res, but I suppose thats what happens when you take a texture from a new engine that doesn't require high res, and put it into an old engine with inferior shader capabilities.
Re: In case you all forgot
The battle rifle is not the point. Please refrain from commenting on it.
Re: In case you all forgot
those clouds in the middle are kinda just randomly appearing, instead of expanding and swirling from the center like they should.

That was his take on the effect in the video btw, in mine i made it dust instead of clouds.

I actually like that BR a lot. I doubt this will be open sourced, but if it does somehow become it, I can easily see people using it in the future. Anyways, the overshield looks amazing. Great job.

I sincerely doubt the halo 3 tags will be open sourced. I believe peng was talking about open sourcing the bsp model and textures. But looking back through the thread I can't find where it was said, so maybe i'm imagining it.

Well, what I'm debating is why ripped content should be open-sourced and why it shouldn't to keep the ripped items "safe" (no other ways to explain it).

Well, don't debate it in here. CAD specifically said that the focus of the post was NOT the battle rifle.
This will lead to a large argument then a flamewar. We've been here before, and I don't feel like coming back... at least, not in here.
Please don't derail Peng's topic.
