rob, first subdivide, then bend.
disaster, exactly.
there's nothing wrong with a 60-sided cylinder, it's only there to look good, not to have a low-poly highpoly cage or something.

Forgot trigger (as usual) and flash light. will finish tomorrow. its 4:44AM!
Forgot mirror some parts as well so it might look a little strange :/ dammit.
Honestly, you can leave the laser sight off; it looks better that way. I don't even know why they put a god damn laser sight on a shotgun.
I think I will add it, but if you use the finished asset you could easily remove it if you wished :) It's something else to make it look interesting init. :)
the fact the pump-action part and the other stuff at the bottom is so open bothers me.
close it up somehow.
far as I can tell, the model is well executed, but I just hate these reach designs. It looks like they created them specifically to use more polygons.
^elaborate detail in places that dont look stupid
i mean it seems like bungie tried their damnedest to make the weapons look as unnecessarily complicated as possible. i would have put that toward a scarab that doesnt have a 6 sided cylinder for a leg joint, but thats just me
New technological breakthroughs don't validate ridiculous design changes. They could've remodeled the halo 1 AR using far more polies to enhance the feel, rather than warp it into what they did. Not saying they should've used the same AR design (though that'd make sense), merely proving a point.
