Thanks for my new wallpaper rotation
The technology displayed in Crysis 2 looks like it's decades ahead of what was available in Crysis 2. That is what makes it seem like such a different game. It makes it hard to believe that Crysis 1 and 2 are in the same timeline
In Crysis, there was a CIA agent who had been keeping tabs on the excavation site.
They must have some idea of what was going on to place a agent into the mining operation itself not just watch from afar.
Crysis 2 takes place several years after Crysis, there's also the thing about one the aliens was captured so it's entirely possible that if Prophet could manipulate the technology on the field, the experts certainly can.
I know. It takes place three years after Crysis 1, but that's a pretty short time to bring out so much technology. I don't care that they managed to captured the tech, it should take decades to reverse engineer it. What Prophet did was he reactivated the weapon so that it could be used by Humans.
You also have to keep in mind that everything we saw of Crysis was on an island that had barely seen a human touch until the research team and the probably-not-as-technologically-advanced NK army came to fuck it up. It's perfectly feasible that such techological innovations as we're seeing were already in place as of Crysis' events.
Either way I don't personally think anyone's here for the story, including myself. I'll check out the Xass360 demo but unless something really terrible happens this is a Day 1 PC purchase for me, I can't wait to mod the shit out of its blood particles
