Anybody know why FRAPS slows me to like 45 FPS when I record? I normally get about 500FPS, and since I have dual core and 3GB of RAM, there should be more than enough spare resources.

cos fraps is a bitch, you'll get +20 fps on half size.
And since you don't have vista, you can find an easily cracked version of gamecam, which should give you around a 100 fps.

it goes to whatever fps you have it set to record at.

i have an older version that doesn't cap your framerate when your recording.
