And it might even get some more players in permanently if they like the maps (and then they bring in their groupies).

Now is where I take my meager 2 years of observation (out of a possible 5 years for custom edition and 6 for halo PC) and apply it to games played for the HCEL in 2009.
It seems the 50 or so seemingly intelligent players (best in the world) listed oon HCEL need so much of an excuse to play together. I guess Halo CE is very small and relatively very old. The current average player age is low teens anyway. O fun. Players come and go, like they always will; this is a simple game, even for “pros”.
“Matches” after December 6 suggestions:
1. Take advantage of the match times and set a league style tournament, where everyone plays everyone else numerous times. Like Ducky’s rules say: http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12488 Points are awarded for a win, lose or draw, and the winner is the one with most points after all games are played.
2. However, less powerful teams should never play [FBI], for example, it would be a waste of time. But all the teams should set up multiple games administered by the HCEL
ideal 1st games
[FBI] vs og’
[CIA] vs =
US vs .
3. Make the match games short. It’s hard to schedule, even on weekends.
4. Use custom maps. Use creative gametypes instead of the same old ones!
MVPs – I guess scheduling really is what the League is all about; getting everyone on at the same time to maximize everything. I’ve been checking halo almost every day again lately. I see a couple players a day, but that is all.
I guess that’s all for now. I don’t know if butters team is good or not.
I think team . should play <US> right away, demonX got better, but so what.
Maybe there will be more teams….
Excluding players… is …. acting retardedly imo.

Boss: you’re absolutely right, for once. Excluding PC players is silly. But I would like to take this opportunity to suggest that
nothing, NOTHING should ever be taken personally on halo, or anywhere else really. This is all in
fun here. Except, I guess, getting owned, which is another matter entirely that I know nothing
about….
Blind, but [HIV] never failed at anything. Least of all any more than any other halo clan or “team” did. It is a failure of the entire community that perhaps you were referring to? [HIV] = 35,000 hits on a site out of 5 million copies of halo PC sold since 2003 ain’t bad. Everyone left just doesn’t see past the bs enough to make an impact in the actual gameplay.
“They can’t do it if they don’t know how”
I have a team of about 3 people now. I need some more and i've already asked around. Dont worry there is time.. :)
Why has my name got a question mark next to it  I play often, just on the other HCEL server.

Remember, if we wanted to play PC players, we would make a Halo PC league on the pc version (which there already is HPT), and not a Halo CE league. Since we don't have an on going league, I think Ducky is giving something back to the players of CE for making CE a great community. Players of pc would just come here for the league, and then fuck off again once league has finished.
Personally, I don't mind if the odd pc player joins the league; I just oppose the shit talking idiots that would ruin it for the rest.
it would be funny if everyone would dodge them, just like looking for a match, all right.
iirc, we had some PC players in HCEL last year that joined only for the reason to play a league and then just leave. Plus we had ringers, I think. What's the point of having PC players joining anyway? So they can win a league that offers some monetary prize and go back to PC telling everyone they raped some CE players?
If PC players want to join HCEL, it should be a reason that doesn't include their obsessive need to win.
We always seem to forget about the other half of CE players that are on everyday because they don't actively participate in this community. Sure, they might be full of <16 year olds, but they're still CE players right? So if we needed more CE players, and not PC players, shouldn't we find a way to grab their attention?
Also I've been thinking of a new team for older players based on the large amount of people in Ducky's roster thread who aren't on a team yet:
I'm not exactly set to create this new team though since I haven't really contacted any of them about it. :|Quote:

Also sam, why is it that almost every post you make is some sort of analytical or observational post about the CE community/society?
