So is this going to be like... an Animatrix thing? Cause, aside from a few episodes, the Animatrix was awesome.

Yeah, but point out one anime that has absolutely none of the typically Japanese themes and/or stuff that the Japanese would balk at but stupid white kid weeaboos go for. This is Halo, not some tale about Samurai warriors, giant mechas, or pre-teen girls.

This guy has never seen Death Note, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo or any Miyazaki films...? Only reason I can see for this blanket hate over the direction these shorts are going for.

Stop watching shit like Bleach or other anime bullshit. (Dragonball Z, Code Geass, Gundam: Seed, One Piece, Naruto...) Just to name a few shitty animes I've had the displeasure of deciding to watch. Maybe a slight exception to DBZ, it was cool when I was young.

^This. Seriously Ross, go watch Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell before you make those kinds of sweeping generalizations. Anime isn't all OMGKAWAII~ shit. I personally avoid that crap.

Judging from your attitude, i don't think you'll like Death Note, Samurai Champloo, or even some of the miyazaki films, since you don't seem like the sort of fantasy-type storylines. Not to say that Death Note is a fantasy type anime, but it borders on ludicrous sometimes.

I don't watch any anime at all, and I'm not about to start.

Looking at what's been shown of this, it took me all of two seconds to figure out I didn't like what was being done with the Halo name just to try and give the fans something else to drool over. I'm sick of what was a good game being milked to the point where I barely even want to defend it anymore, it's completely sold out and the whole Halo universe has just gone to absolute shite.

You realize anime is as diverse as American or western animation, right? It's like saying Spongebob is the same as Justice League. It sounds retarded.

You lost me at "plainly." I don't see how "the whole Halo universe has just gone to absolute shite" because of some series of animated shorts.

Not just because of these, but they aren't helping. I dunno about you, but fields of flowers and blonde-haired teenage girls aiming pistols at each other doesn't really make me think of Halo.

Then again, I'm one of those horrible ignorant ANTI-ANIME MONSTERS so obviously any and all concerns I have for what they'll do to the PROPER Halo universe are utterly void

Well, of course it isn't going to make you think of Halo...you don't know the backstory to the image yet. :downs:

What if you had the same image with them holding M1911s or Webley revolvers instead of M6Ds, and it was a WWII thing. It's not going to make you think of WWII, now is it?
