The FaN is, strategically speaking, not the best weapon you could use with the scout. He's got low health as it is, and given only two shots to kill a player. If he misses and fails to kill the target, he's forced to flail around in circles until he's reloaded, which takes some time to do. If you miss with the FaN, you're pretty much dead during reload.

And if you really hate engies that much, then I dare you to never use a teleporter to get to the front lines, or use a dispenser when you're on fire and about to die with no medpacks nearby. I use my FaN to take out people out who are unaware of me. It's basically a hit and run. If I see a enemy on fire heading for a medic or a health pack I dash up and put 2 rounds in him then dash off. I also love the triple jumping capabilities of the FaN. But that is just my way of playing with it.

N, the best domination is one against that camping demoman faggot who sprays stickies all over the battlements in 2fort. Hth
