Re: Compiler error
the option is checked, so i dunno. as for the shader, how do I fix the reference? if it's the name, then I don't know what to do since I copied and pasted it right out of the tutorial. Also, I had to skip the Guerilla section since the shaders folder it specified did not exist.

Re: Compiler error
;)This is because there is a really g@y feature on vista called user accont control that you need to turn off. Go to the control panel, then to an option called user accounts then to 'turn user accounts on or off'. Turn it OFF. You will have to restart but now when you package your map it will copy to your custom maps folder.
:eek:BUT BeWARE!!!!!!
:XD:Backup everything before you do this in a sepperate folder in like my documents or something. For some people (like me) when they do this, their stuff in the 'Halo 2 map editior" folder (i mean the stuff they created like .scenario files and .max files) just dissapear.
Have fun, and to get rid of that multicolor crap just make shaders for your bitmaps and make .shader_collections files to reference your shaders.
:DAND PLEASE>............................. when you make your map make a custom strings file so your map has a name. I get so pissed seeing like 40 'Halo 2 level games going on, but all on different maps.
I have a question, how do you make file extension show in vista???

hit alt to bring up the menu bar, go to tools, folder options, and it's under the view tab
