Halo Reach is fun, but the gameplay is very slow outside of close quarters. You never have a pure 1 vs 1 matchup with another player, rarely do I feel that I outplayed someone. It just takes way to long to kill people in Reach which results in tedious encounters.
I actually prefer the long stalking sessions. I think there is too much emphasis on close-quarters firefights, which is also forced upon players because the melee A.) is super powerful and B.) has a lunge to it making it easy.
I'd probably say Halo 2 and 3 had more close-quarters fighting going on, since the BR could be sprayed close-range and still be decently effective. Halo 2 had a huge lunge, too.. just my opinion though
AR is also and has always been for the Sprayers with melee players (except in Halo 1). Guess what we spawn with. :haw:
I never did that. I killed them with the gun by itself, as closing in for a melee was always more dangerous than it was rewarding. AR fire coupled with a well-placed grenade was the preferred killing method on PC, where as on XBOX the best way was to simply spray the target since the AR had some fantastically overpowered autoaim.
LOL, I said the battle rifle is a power weapon all round on bungie.net forums and this kid sent me the funniest message ever.
This kid think he is a funny guy! And also his little message in his profile says take out ars.Quote:
