Heh, I'd go for a Halo 1 look.
It doesn't seem so much as black as it does just a dark grey. :| Regardless, I don't mind it, but perhaps another color would spark my interest a bit more.
I really liked the JPL helmet...I'm having a hard decision between it and the original Mark V.

According to stuff over on NeoGAF the game is out to the masses now, as in you don't need a JTagged to play it anymore. I'm not seeing this anywhere, then again those guys seem to freak out over every little thing.
