Aww, please don't make the map gray and soul-less like that. If you're just going to preserve the exact same (or nearly the same) geometry, you should retain the original covie look. It looks better than a generic Forerunner boxy map this version resembles. If you want to go for this new look, I suggest you go all the way and rebuild the map from the ground-up, instead of simply switch textures.
Of course, I'd prefer some to see non-stock CE ports (still interested in porting over a map or two of mine?) or even better, a new map.

I should have counted on you to do my favorite Halo map... but I'm not really liking this theme... it's too dark. It might look cool with some white forerunner lights around to give contrast.
